ARCHITECTURE: Building A Work of Art

In collaboration with minimalist artist, Ellsworth Kelly, the Matthew Marks Gallery were able to create a building that is a work of art. Reminiscent of Kelly's minimal pieces, the simple black stripe at the top of building balances the all white and no window exterior. I can't wait to visit this gallery. Marks was even able to convince the phone company to bury the their poles underground.

FILM: Theo Angelopoulos

Eternity and a Day is one of my favorite films by the Greek director Theo Angelopoulos. Theo passed away yesterday from his injuries in a car accident. I admire his films for their ambiguously long takes and detailed sound editing. In my list of great film directors, I consider him to be one of the greatest.
